Editor: The new Finnish Multilingual keyboard extends the capabilities of the current Finnish standard keyboard. No new keyboard hardware is required. The new characters are created using diacritical marks and the AltGr key.
The layout is based on a proposal by the Keyboard Working Group reporting to the Finnish national Steering Group on Cultural Diversity Issues, Kotoistus. It is intended for easy typing of various languages including Finnish, Swedish, Northern S谩mi, Inari S谩mi, Skolt S谩mi, Southern S谩mi, Lule S谩mi, Danish, Norwegian, and Romany as spoken in Finland. We are also trying to accommodate easy entry of names in other languages with Latin characters. The most important additions for Finnish are 拧 and 啪, as well as en dash 鈥溾?鈥?
